Courtney Holman helps her clients understand the various nuances of real estate, whether buying, selling or investing in a home or property. Getting her start in the financial sector in 2005, she has a unique understanding of how to help her clients fulfill their real estate goals and dreams.

Early on, Courtney knew that she wanted to understand the best strategies to help people. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Georgia State University. Her passion for educating others led to her completion of a Master’s in Education with a concentration in Adult Learning from Central Michigan University.

A firm believer in continuing education and surrounding oneself with people who are smarter, Courtney followed the direction of her mentor to pursue Real Estate, where she could make a greater impact and difference in the lives of people she was working with. Courtney went on to receive her certification from the National Association of Expert Advisors which allowed her to hone her skill of helping people attain their real estate goals.

Karen Loftus, GRI, SRS, ABR

Karen Loftus holds a BS in secondary education from Mansfield University. After moving South, she obtained her real estate license in 1985 and earned her associate broker’s license in 1994. Karen is a Certified Residential Appraiser, a licensed instructor for the Georgia Real Estate Commission and teaches sales and broker pre-license classes as well as pre-license appraisal. She has also served as a director for both her local board and GAR since 1991. Karen has chaired and served on many GAR committees including the GRI Board of Governors and was the GRI Dean in 2007. This course will cover the history of the Code of Ethics, describe agency with emphasis on representing the buyer, list the major article of the Code, identify possible disciplinary actions for a violation and describe the professional standards enforcement process.

This class is intended for new members of the ATLANTA REALTORS® ASSOCIATION.

The Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation is the exclusive global designation of NAR®. This premier designation is awarded by NAR's Commercial and Global Services department to REALTORS® who complete the coursework and meet practical experience criteria that demonstrate knowledge and familiarity with global clients.

How to earn the CIPS Designation?
  • Successfully complete two core courses and three elective courses (options and requirements vary for US and non-US applicants)
  • Designees must complete the designation application form with at least 100 elective credits. Elective credits can be earned in 13 different categories such as: speaking other languages, possessing additional NAR® designations, attending international conferences and international transactions, experience abroad, and others.
  • Be a member in good standing of NAR (or NAR cooperating international association)

How much are the annual membership dues?
